Indications: Sinusitis, allergies, sinus congestion.
Discussion: This formula alleviates symptoms of sinus congestion and infection as well as hayfever and other allergic attacks. It clears phlegm from the nasal passages and reduces inflammation due to infection and allergic response. The base formula, Cang Er San, alleviates nasal congestion using a combination of warming, acrid herbs that dry up mucus, and cooling herbs that reduce inflammation. The additional Western herbs enhance the formulas ability to address hayfever-type allergies, congestion, and the potential for sinus infection. Ambrosia quickly reduces the symptoms of acute allergy attacks such as runny nose, itchy eyes, and repetitive sneezing. Goldenrod similarly addresses both the congestion and irritation of respiratory allergies. Yarrow and Yerba Mansa are both strongly antibacterial and simultaneously decongesting.
Dosage: 15-60 drops 3-5 times daily or as needed
