What is the cost for your formulation services?

Once you set up an account and use our online formula submission portal, you’ll be able to see the cost of each formula you order. Take a look at our Pharmacy Pricing Sheet if you do not have an account.

What discounts do you offer?

We’re happy to offer a 15% discount to practitioners who sign up for a monthly pharmacy account. When we receive billed-to-account formulas, we make them up right away and give the patient a call when their order has been prepared. Charged to account formulas are billed at the end of the month. We offer a 10% discount to students of herbal medicine.

Can you bill my patients directly?

Absolutely. For bill-to-patient orders, we take the practitioner’s order, then call the patient to confirm the order and arrange payment. Unpaid formulas will not be assembled.

I'm having trouble logging in to place a formula order. What should I do?

Use supported browsers and log in twice:

  • Make sure you are using Chrome, Safari, or Internet explorer.

  • Once you click “Order a Custom Formulation” use the account name “FFH” and the password “herbs” to log in to our database.

  • Then log in to your personal account using your email address and your practitioner ID number as your password.

  • If you do not know your practitioner ID number, contact us.

How long does it take to fill an order?

Most orders will be filled the same business day if submitted before 4pm. Please call the shop if your patient is picking up a formula directly after an appointment, so we can fill their order as quickly as possible.

What are your minimums?

Single herb tinctures or stock formulas are offered bulk starting at 8 fl oz.

Our minimum custom formula size is 16 fl oz bulk or a 12 pack of 2 oz bottles.

Bulk orders are subject to a $200 order minimum.

How are your extracts priced?

Each herb and formula is assigned a tier.  Compare this with our pricing chart to ­find the cost. What are your minimum order quantities?

What are your privacy standards for private label?

We provide non-disclosure agreements for all private label supplements and manufacturing processes. You can download and fill out a basic template here.

What’s the turnaround for private label orders?

Orders blended from existing tincture stock (up to 4 gallons) have a 1-week turnaround.

Orders that involve non-inventory herbs, difficult-to-source herbs, or are over 4 gallons have an average turnaround of 6-9 weeks.

Who creates the labels?

Customers are responsible for the design and printing of labels, including FDA labeling requirements.  We recommend reviewing product contents and label design with a lawyer and/or insurance agent before finalizing the text. To meet our compliance specifications, we must review your labels for accuracy before they are printed.


Please notify us immediately if there are any problems with your order. Products damaged in transit will be replaced at no cost to the customer if reported to us within 7 days of receipt. All other claims, discrepancies, and returns must be resolved within 30 days of purchase. 

Orders for sealed retail products purchased on our website may be cancelled online prior to shipping, with a full return to the credit card used for the purchase. If the item has already shipped, the customer is responsible for return shipping, and will receive product credit once the item is received in its original condition.

Unopened, sealed retail or bulk tincture items may be returned within 30 days. Credits issued are for product only. A copy of your invoice and a brief note describing the reason for return must accompany returns. 

Opened products cannot be returned, and no refund or exchange is offered.

Once a custom formula has been blended, it cannot be cancelled or returned, and the customer is responsible for full payment; no shipping will be charged if the custom formula is blended but cancelled before shipment. If you are a practitioner or patient and you are dissatisfied or have a negative reaction to a custom formula, please contact us within 7 days; product credit or exchange will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
